An appreciative person in this case is simply telling you that you have been good all this while. And you should affirm this by truly realizing you are good after all. Why? Because that person has just made you see your value. Once you accept it, you are back on track! In the case where your effort to help others are sent back by ungrateful persons, you should think better to give it to the people who need it. However, you shouldn’t think less about yourself because someone was too dump to appreciate you? Or that someone denied to appreciate your effort simply because it was free. This is one big reason why people feel reluctant to help people because they always expect a ‘thank you’. To be successful with this approach to finding yourself, you should render these services exclusively to get to know what you are capable of doing for yourself that you always found it easier when you do the same thing for others. This is a drive! Do not expect appreciation. Believe you have done it right and it’s your best shot. When you see the positive outcome of the help, you become very happy and feel limitless to do more and more. Some people only get this joy when they are appreciated. Others get it when they truly believe in their selves. And believing in their selves is a very great attitude that have just been unlocked to tell them that they are on the level to do anything positive to change their own lives and how they feel.
